JUDAV is a voluntary organization
that undertakes people-oriented and ecology- preservation and enrichment
development initiatives to positively impact the lives of the poor,
marginalized and excluded sections of society, by encouraging and enabling
their participation in the process of their self-governance.
JUDAV
has been instrumental in creating peoples opinion for a positive policy
adoption by the state. It upholds the right of all people to lead a life of dignity
and self-respect in a just and equitable society, and initiates processes to
strengthen capacities of the individual and the community to improve the
quality of their lives.
For 12 years
from its inception in 1995, JUDAV has been working in remote, most underdeveloped and
adivasis and other areas – being the major concern for Adivasis, Dalits and the
poor. Since then the organization has been involved with emancipation and
development of oppressed and marginalized through various capacitation programs,
income generation and community organization activities with the ultimate goal
of enabling those deprived mass to manage over their local resources – Jal (Water), Jungle (Forest) and Jamin
(Land).
Vision
JUDAV envisions a society where relation between human beings
and nature is balanced for preservation of the indigenous social values and
creation of sustainable livelihood for people towards the establishment of a
society on a communitarian lifestyle, labour-oriented and egalitarianism which
accepts the diversity and differences among human beings.
